FUNCTIONS/ROLES OF LITERATURE

i.                    Literature is used to develop human language.

ii.                  To criticize some evils in the societies

iii.                To entertain people in the society i.e. through songs, poetry, proverbs, saying, jokes etc. iv. To express peoples culture v.

iv.                To educate people in the society as we get messages

v.                  To influence people in the society.

vi.                To liberate people in the society, it liberates people mentally and physically.
